Boston’s Not That Bad: A Journey to Finding My Place

I never thought I’d say this, but Boston’s not that bad. As I drove home from an evening filled with laughter and connection with a new friend, I realized maybe that’s what I’ve been missing—a friend to help make this city feel a bit more like home.

Have I been too quick to judge? Has Boston always had this potential, and have I been looking at it through the wrong lens?

It’s been over a year since I landed in Boston. While some things have improved, I’m still on the hunt for a community that truly resonates with me. It hasn’t been easy, and the lack of connection has made it challenging to find my groove and thrive here. So, I’m figuring things out, piece by piece.

Have you ever found yourself in a new city, struggling to fit in and find your rhythm?

This transition has been tougher than others, but like I always say to y’all, I’m not giving up. In fact, I have some updates to share with you before we dive into the week ahead.

First up, my social media break is winding down. I’ve started posting some videos on TikTok, and while I’m eyeing a return to Instagram, it’s TikTok for now.

More personal vlogs are on the way! Many of you have told me how much you enjoy getting a peek into my life, so expect more vlogs coming to the site.

Also, I’m excited to share “Dear Adopted Black Girl” motivational sayings on my TikTok.

So, yeah—Boston’s not that bad after all. Maybe it’s a thought I should welcome more often.

Until next time – from my new city with love.
