The thought came to me while I was driving to the gym: You’re not losing your mind. You may just need community.
And it hit me—my community has slowly been built through my routines.
I saw a post once that said: “People won’t always come to you. Just keep doing the things you love and your people will find you there.” (shout out to the original person who wrote this)
That stuck.
I’ve realized that me and close connection? Yeah… we’ve still got some healing to do. But in the meantime, I’ve created a rhythm that’s grounding me. Here’s a little life update:
My days have been amazing lately—especially my Sundays.
Church. Gym. A warm coffee or calming tea to settle my tummy. A good read. And usually, some writing time in a bookstore. There’s something sacred about writing in a space surrounded by stories, soft sounds, and shelves that smell like imagination.
Sometimes I wonder… am I finally learning how to relax?
Anyone remember that phase when I posted TikToks just asking, “Relax?” Yeah—that version of me was searching. And now?
I think I’m growing into someone I used to pray for.
Whoever she is, I really like her.
I recently read Can’t Get Enough by Kennedy Ryan (highly recommend!), and I felt so seen. Hendrix learning how to love—even while deeply career-focused—was so relatable. There was a time I thought I was fully ready for motherhood and marriage, but now? Maybe I just need to chill for a minute.
Like actually be where I am.

Not chase the next milestone just because it’s “supposed” to be next.
That realization—that more isn’t always a race, but a rhythm—has helped me stay consistent with my routines.
Day by day. Step by step.
And honestly? That feels really f*cking good. (Sorry to the church folks, but I meant that with love.)
I still need a writing session. I still need a little more rest. But I’m learning:
You’ve got to do the things that light you up.
And the company you crave? It finds you there.
See you in the next blog.
From a coffee bar with love,
Teisha
